V2 Development Record

This page is a historical maintainer record of how Version 2 was developed and reviewed. It is not a pull-request template and does not describe the live publication status of the documentation.

During development, V2 was reviewed through draft PR #10 on the temporary integration branch feat/v2-learning-reference. Child remediation phases covered curriculum, patterns, templates, provider guides, README information architecture, Pages action coordination, and course/credential taxonomy.

Foundation established during development

  • Learning and Reference modes have separate source areas.
  • Catalogs use JSON Schema and integrity validation.
  • Privacy, freshness, internal-link, external-link, and documentation checks exist.
  • Generated catalog indexes remain derived from catalog/*.json.

Curriculum remediation

All 13 curriculum modules received authoritative lessons, exercises, quizzes, explained solutions, references, and outcome-based completion checklists. The docs/learn/*.md pages remain navigation entries rather than independently maintained lesson copies.

Later remediation phases

Subsequent child phases remediated pattern semantics, template semantics, provider-guide freshness and source classification, visitor-first README and documentation hubs, coordinated Pages action pins, and structured learning / credential evidence contracts.

Historical verification snapshot

Early curriculum-focused verification reported schema validation, semantic curriculum gates, internal-link checks, MkDocs strict builds, and README navigation checks. Later phases raised the suite size substantially; treat current suite counts as measured on the active branch rather than as fixed historical numbers on this page.

Historical review gates

Independent reviews gated curriculum, patterns, templates, providers, README IA, Pages pins, and course/credential evidence before umbrella release processing. Publication-safe edit_uri, stable main learning links, and removal of draft-only public messaging were required before merge authorization.
